Marc Jacobs- Bang

Over at Sassy we’re always telling you about the latest and greatest happenings for us girls. Well here’s something you can tell the guys about, Marc Jacobs newest fragrance for men: BANG.

I’m personally excited about the launch of BANG for a few reasons. First of all, I absolutely love Marc Jacobs and I think it’s fun that he actually appears in the ad. In fact, this is the first time ever that Jacobs has appeared in one of his ads and I must say he is quite attractive and looking seriously HOT lying naked on a silver Mylar bed with only an oversize bottle of BANG covering his bits! Second, I’m always struggling at the last minute to find the perfect gift for the men in my life and with the launch of BANG it gives me the opportunity to give my husband a fragrance that I know he doesn’t already own. Finally, I just can’t get enough of the name, BANG, simple, to the point and unforgettable. Jacobs said he came up with the name while he was working out at the gym. Hmmmm, I wonder what was on his mind?!

The scent was created to be ultra masculine with hints of primal woods, white moss and patchouli. Being that this is the first men’s perfume that Jacobs has released in over a decade, he wanted the packaging to be memorable and I think he’s accomplished his goal. I love the silver bottle as it screams “sexy”!

Considering the fragrance just launched, it’s creating quite a buzz around the world with its scandalous ad campaign. Apparently in the Middle East the ad only features a picture of the bottle while in other parts of the world the image is cropped at the shoulders (see both ads below).

BANG will be released worldwide September 2010 and will be available in select Marc Jacobs stores.
