GO – BANANAS!

Hong Kong’s wackiest race, the annual “Beat the Banana!” Charity Run along the TST East Promenade is the signature “fun” and fund-raising outdoor event held annually by WCRF HK (World Cancer Research Fund Hong Kong) to promote the importance of an active lifestyle and a healthy diet for cancer prevention.

The event features the funniest-ever 3km Fun Run with a life-sized “running banana” for all participants to chase and beat across the finish line, and an exciting 6km Elite Race with the male and female champions winning free air tickets, courtesy of Virgin Atlantic Airways, and hotel accommodation in London to then compete in the British version of the Beat the Banana! Run in London’s Hyde Park in May 2011.

Funds raised will contribute towards WCRF HK’s Magic Million Appeal to raise HK$1 million to help fund cutting edge research.

All individual and team runners will get a complimentary online fundraising page where runners can set their own fundraising targets and easily monitor the progress. All participants will also receive a commemorative t-shirt and a goody bag full of surprises! Registration closes tomorrow on Friday 14th January so you MUST sign up now to make sure you get a spot.

Register online or download a form at www.wcrf-hk.org. For enquiries, call WCRF HK on 2529 5025 or email [email protected]
