“It” Bag of the Week: Fendi Pink Plexi Clutch

I have a particular love of bags – for some people it’s shoes or jewellery, but for me it’s handbags. It’s a love that most of Hong Kong seems to share judging by the arm candy on display any given day of the week, and I remember before I moved here a friend warning me that EVERYONE here has a Louis Vuitton bag (not necessarily true it seems, but I’ll admit that per capita the number of designer bags is pretty amazing). To indulge my love of bags I’m going to be starting a regular “It” Bag of the week feature here on Sassy – sometimes these will be flights of fancy that are out there pretty much in the realm of impossibility (for most normal people), and sometimes they’ll be realistically affordable and practical purchases. To kick things off though, I’m going with a bag that’s definitely in the former camp…

It’s Fendi, made from pink plexiglass, covered in Swarovski Crystals and costs almost US$6,000… So this is not one we’re going to be running out to buy in a hurry, but from a purely design point of view, this is incredible. There’s even a space left uncovered with crystals so that you can keep a firm grip on your investment. Better wipe any gunk off your lipstick and powder case though as any sub-par items you place in this bag will be on view for all to see. Not one to pop a tampon in then basically!
