French Brands in Hong Kong

1 June, 2010

When I was living in Switzerland, my fashion staples came from French brands like Comptoir des Cotonniers, Maje and Sandro. In fact, some of the pieces in my wardrobe which still get the most wear come from these brands, as they all do beautiful pieces that don’t really date, and that use lovely natural fabrics (cotton and silk) that last. I was very excited then to learn that new Causeway Bay store, Rue Madame will be stocking brands Maje and Sandro, along with a host of other French brands such as Iro, Manoush and Les Prairies de Paris. Rue Madame also stocks fun accessories brands, Lila Conti and Les Nereides, which if you’re not familiar with, are definitely worth checking out.

Unfortunately French chic doesn’t come super-cheap – clothing starts at around HK$800 and ranges up to around HK$5000, but on a per-wear basis, my Sandro dresses could beat any item I’ve ever bought from H&M! I’m very excited to check out Rue Madame soon!
