Free People – International Shipping to HK

21 July, 2010

I have always had a soft spot in my heart for Urban Outfitters mainly because it was born in my hometown of Philadelphia. I remember my Dad bringing me and my sister down to their very beautiful store in the city when we were teenagers and just wishing something could go home with me (he was nice and let us each pick out something – and I still have it to this day). Over the years I have acquired many of things from the uber cool brand and to date one of my favourite pieces is a silver snake bracelet that I snapped up last December when I was supposed to be Christmas Shopping for people other then myself. : )

I never really knew that Urban Outfitters started off with an entirely different name though. When it was created in 1970 it was called Free People but after 6 years the name was changed to what we know it to be called today. Free People then gradually became a label that was carried in the store and in 2002 a Free People store was opened and it is also available online. They currently ship all around the world (Yipee!!) and shipping to HK is a flat rate of $272 HK dollars.

The inspiration of the Free People line is described as:
a 26-year-old girl (I am ignoring this part!), smart, creative, confident and comfortable in all aspects of her being, free, and adventurous, sweet to tough to tomboy to romantic. A girl who likes to keep busy and push life to its limits, with traveling and hanging out and everything in between. Who loves Donovan as much as she loves The Dears, and can’t resist petting any dog that passes her by on the street.

The jewelry is what I am really loving most on the site. This watch needs to be mine!
