Creative City x MOViE MOViE – Sassy Movie Screening Giveaway

Update: The giveaway for this event is now closed and all winners have been notified by email.

The cool folks at Creative City have teamed up with MOViE MOViE  this summer to launch DESTINATION: Cinema, Hong Kong’s very own roving film festival. They have selected five critically acclaimed and award-winning films and documentaries and will be showing them all over town throughout July.

To celebrate their support of Hong Kong’s creative community, they are showcasing the films at unique venues throughout the city that are not your typical movie theatre setting and are teaming up with various partners around town to host exclusive screenings of their five chosen films… and guess what? Sassy Hong Kong is the proud host partner of two of the five movies!

We will be hosting 2 private film screening events and we have 25 pairs of tickets to give away for each screening. You can enter to win a pair of tickets for either screening by clicking the giveaway buttons below (there is a button for each showing); to be fair to everyone, if you are selected for one screening then you will not be eligible to win a ticket for the other screening.

And now onto the movies we will be showing!

First up on Tuesday 23 July is Norwegian coming-of-age comedy Turn Me On, Goddammit which will be shown at W Hong Kong (a long time Sassy fave). The film has won multiple awards in Norway and it centres around a teenage girl who is going through her very own sexual awakening and dealing with out-of-control raging hormones.

On Wednesday 24 July we will be hosting a showing of the Diane Vreeland documentary, The Eye Has To Travel at the Siemens Experience Centre (which we hear is an awesome space!). Vreeland was a legend in the fashion business and worked as Vogue editor-in-chief and also as a special consultant to The Met, so this is definitely a film for all you fashionistas! The film has won the ‘Silver Hugo for Best Documentary’ at the Chicago International Film Festival and acts as a love letter to this fashion icon.
