Chic Leopard Print for Autumn

8 November, 2010

I’ve made a pact (with myself) that I won’t buy any more clothes with prints on them until Christmas, only solid, block coloured items, to try to balance out my wardrobe which contains far too many florals, polka dots and stripes. There’s something about a print you see that makes my heart beat a little faster and I tend to see plain items as a bit basic and boring, but with a wardrobe full of prints, nothing goes with anything and I end up only using a tiny amount of the items I have. That being said, I’m already wondering if I could make an exception for myself when it comes to leopard print, which I am spotting everywhere (including little touches in the H&M x Lanvin collection) and which can be a super-chic way to add a bit of pizazz to an otherwise basic outfit. One of my favourite fashion bloggers, Wearing It Today shows us how it’s done above…

But even though I can admire the effect of leopard paired with block coloured basics, I am still swooning over the style know-how it takes to put leopard with a print. It just goes to show, it’s going to be hard for this leopard to change her spots!

I’ll let you know how I get on with my fashion challenge!
