With the sun out in full force it’s safe to say that we’ve officially traded in our boots for open toe sandals and those cosy cardies for polka-dot bikinis – hello summer! From lazy days on the beach to making a splash at our favourite pool parties, here’s what’s on this month…

WOMEN: New Portraits‘, an exhibition of newly commissioned photographs by renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz is now open to the public! The exhibition reflects the changes in the roles of women today and will evolve over the coming year as a body of work.

Who doesn’t love outdoor fun?! We certainly do, which is why we’re so excited about the annual Dragon Boat Races and Carnival. The focus is the 40 teams racing for 23 races, but we love any excuse to head over to one of our favourite outlying islands for a day out. There’ll be market booths for a spot of shopping, fire dances, cheerleaders and beer. It promises to be a fun event that will make you proud to live in Hong Kong!

From now until August, head to White Cube gallery on Connaught Road to see a brand new body of work by Mexican conceptual artist Gabriel Orozco. Inspired by living in Japan, the exhibition (curated by the wonderful Bryony Fer) is titled “Suisai: Tokyo Strokes” and features watercolour on gold cardboard grounds.
