So you say you love to accessorize? Well, then you must know Anna Dello Russo! Anna is the editor-at-large and creative consultant for Vogue Japan and is a self-described “passionate fashionista”; it has been rumoured that she even has 4,000 pairs of shoes… That is a pure commitment to your craft right there! She recently teamed up with H&M to create a range of not only shoes, but also an entire line of super glam jewels to make you stand out in a crowd. We got a sneak peek at what you jewellery junkies will be queuing up for on October 4th when the Anna Dello Russo at H&M collection is unveiled…
The first things to grab are the chunky gold pieces. There are charms and rhinestones and thick-stacked chains to jazz up any outfit – imagine how fun these would be with your basic jeans and white button down! You can even spot a few cherries inspired by the larger than life cherry hat that Anna made famous.
I also love the GIGANTIC teal cuff. This would be great with a flowing summer dress now and a denim shirt with rolled up sleeves when the weather takes a turn to autumn.
Animals make a strong showing throughout the collection. Make a fast dash to the reptile cuffs and coils that wrap around your every limb; you can even spot Anna’s own puppy, Cucciolina, dangling from a necklace and topping a purse clasp!
…But the real show stopper is in fact, a topper! A giant bird adorns this headband complete with a birdcage veil (how fitting) – you can channel Anna and her fab feathered headdresses with this easier to wear piece, which would be great fun for any party that you might find yourself flying off to.
We’ve covered your head…. Now let’s work on those feet! Anna read my mind when she created these super long leather boots – you can see her sporting them and looking super hot in her “Fashion Shower” video. If these are too OTT for you, then take a step closer to the gold booties or cage peep toes; however, I think the crowd fave here will be the rhinestone platforms that are certain to elevate any outfit.
You may need to shield your eyes from all the bling… so here are a few large and in charge options for you to rock (oh if only I’d seen these when I wrote my sunglasses article)!
And what can you carry all your new finds in? Why the Anna Dello Russo at H&M luggage of course! These would definitely be the stars of any luggage carousel!
Now you’ve made your wishlist, here are the rules…
1. There are only two stores carrying the Anna Dello Russo collection (Central and Tsim Sha Tsui) so make sure you go to the right spot!
2. Don’t be late – doors open at 10:30am on October 4th! You will be allowed to shop the collection for 15 minutes; at 1:30pm, these 15-minute periods will end and the area will be opened to the public, but who knows what might be left by then. If this is anything like Lanvin or Versace the answer is… not much!
3. Know that you are limited to two pieces per style so decide what you and your friends want before you go in!
4. The only thing that can be returned is the luggage trolley (with receipt and tags in tact) and you can only return that within the next three days. Everything else is final purchase!
So go get your Fashion Shower on October 4th! And as Anna says, “fashion is a declaration of your own freedom”… so go on and express yourself!
