Advance Jewel on Queen’s Road East

Queen’s Road East is not all furniture and hardware stores – there are plenty of fashion jewels sprinkled along its length, and lately it seems like every time I walk along it some new little boutique has popped up. One store that has never caught my eye until yesterday though is “Advance Jewel”, which despite it’s unappealing facade, is actually a bit of a little treasure trove if you’re looking for reasonably priced statement jewellery of the type that’s pretty hot right now. From gold wrist cuffs set with chunky semi-precious stones to cool rings and bold necklaces, you’re sure to find something to catch your eye. The way the pieces are displayed is pretty haphazard, and mixed in with quite a bit of random pieces of crystal etc., but if you’re happy to do a bit of rummaging you’ll come out with a real gem (pardon the pun)!

Advance Jewel also has jewellery-making supplies so if you feel like getting creative, this is the place to stock up.
